Developer Relations Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and technically skilled Developer Relations Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will help grow the Arbitrum developer ecosystem by conducting workshops, creating technical content, and fostering strong relationships with developers. You will also support various foundation teams with their technical needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developer Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with developers inside and outside the Arbitrum community. Provide technical guidance and support.
  • Advocacy & Community Building: Promote Arbitrum through meetups, webinars, workshops, and events that encourage knowledge sharing and collaboration.
  • Content Creation: Develop technical documentation, tutorials, and educational resources to help developers integrate Arbitrum easily.
  • Feedback Loop: Gather developer feedback and communicate insights to product and engineering teams to improve the platform.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product, and engineering to align developer outreach with strategic goals.
  • Technical Assessment: Review technical proposals, architecture plans, and timelines for credibility and feasibility.
  • Ecosystem Contributions: Contribute to open-source projects and create resources that strengthen the Arbitrum developer ecosystem.
  • Metrics Tracking: Measure and analyze developer engagement to improve outreach strategies.

Required Qualifications

  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., TypeScript, Python, Go, Rust, Java).
  • Solid understanding of Solidity fundamentals.
  • In-depth knowledge of blockchain technology and EVM-based solutions.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills in English, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in developer relations, developer advocacy, or similar roles in blockchain or cryptocurrency.
  • Proven track record in community building and engagement.
  • Commercial experience with Solidity.
  • Exposure to Rust.
  • Contributions to open-source EVM projects.
  • Fluency in an additional language (e.g., Spanish, Hindi, Chinese, Korean, Japanese).
