Adjuster, Claims

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Claims Adjuster to join our remote team. In this role, you will be responsible for processing and finalizing claims, maintaining accurate claim records, and guiding claimants on coverage amounts and benefits. You will play a key role in ensuring claims are handled promptly, efficiently, and in line with company standards for quality and cost control.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process claims payments, verify supporting documentation, and maintain accurate records.
  • Review and research tracers, adjustments, and re-submissions to ensure claims accuracy.
  • Reassess claims when required, making timely adjudications to meet departmental turnaround times.
  • Collaborate with management to identify claim processing errors and recommend corrective actions.
  • Support performance improvement by promoting accountability, adaptability, teamwork, and effective communication.
  • Assist with projects as assigned, contributing to department-wide goals.
  • Meet established production and quality benchmarks while ensuring compliance with company and regulatory guidelines.
  • Handle additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Required: Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

Experience:

  • Required: 1–3 years of claims or related experience
  • Preferred: 3–5 years in a similar role

Compensation & Benefits

  • Pay range: $21.16 – $31.71 per hour (final compensation based on location, experience, education, and skills)
