Department Chair for Dallas College

We are currently conducting a search for the position of Department Chair for one of the academic schools at Dallas College. This position provides the chance to foster the quality education, personnel with faculties, and academic programs with the demanded jobs of the region.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess students and guide the members of the faculty and make sure that the delivery of quality instruction is managed properly.
• Organise the production of program content and its changes and updates.

The responsibilities are: drive the objectives of the departments, the professional growth of the faculty and the retention of academic standards.
Integrate with and leverage the Intellectual and Emotional Quotient by working hand in hand with the leadership towards achievement of program goals.
Supervise the practical management and assist the faculty in the development of curriculum material.

Required Qualifications:

Master’s degree and 2 or more years of prior experience working in an academic leadership capacity.
At least three years prior experience in higher education administration.
Knowledge of program coordination, faculty supervision and educational assessment.
Reliability, accountability, self-motivation, and teamwork, problem solving skills, and information technology proficiency.

Preferred Qualifications:

Terminal degree and experience in program development terminals.
K-12 or Higher Education Faculty Supervision experience.
Specific requirements are: At least 5 years of professional experience on the job; Bilingual or multilingual is preferred.

Compensation & Benefits:

$75,000+ annually
40-hour work week
