Position Overview

We are looking for a meticulous and proactive Data Entry & Customer Service Specialist to support our operations team. This remote, part-time role is perfect for someone who is highly organized, has a sharp eye for detail, and enjoys working with data in a fast-paced environment. Your responsibilities will include entering, updating, and verifying critical data while also supporting customer inquiries with professionalism and clarity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately input, review, and manage data across multiple internal systems
  • Transcribe physical and digital documents into structured electronic records
  • Maintain and update order and customer information with precision
  • Perform general clerical duties including scanning, filing, and organizing documents
  • Use Excel functions, including pivot tables and charts, to compile and analyze data
  • Communicate with team members to identify and resolve data inconsistencies
  • Provide basic support to customers, including responding to inquiries via email or chat
  • Conduct routine checks to ensure data accuracy and completeness

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Strong typing speed with a high degree of accuracy
  • Experience with Google Docs and Adobe Acrobat
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems and data entry in Excel
  • Familiarity with transcription and chart-building tools
  • Comfortable with EDI platforms and Windows OS
  • Strong organizational skills and a methodical approach to tasks
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic math skills for verifying and calculating data
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines independently

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field
  • Prior experience in a data entry, administrative support, or customer service role
  • Hands-on experience with pivot tables and basic data analysis
  • Familiarity with CRM or customer service platforms is a plus
