Job Summary:

Blavity Inc. has an opening that it has posted for the Web Story Creator role whose main responsibility will be to create amazing web stories, especially those that are well optimized for the mobile user experience. Tools you will use include Canva and Google Web Stories plugin in generating content that is relevant to the identified target audience and achieves maximum SEO success.

Key Responsibilities:

Write and design snippets, listicles, and explainers using Canva and the Google Web Stories add on.
Develop graphics and specialized information cards and attractive visualizations that are optimized for a mobile interface.
Always try experimenting on the new presentation and delivery styles to increase story discoverability and readers’ attention.
Determine user opinions and past successes, or failure, to improve content delivery and recognize excellent points.
Coordinate with the teams to keep the web stories brand voice and art direction in check.
– Select interesting topics if you want to gain more readership and to have your content shared frequently on different platforms.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree.
Required Experience: Experience within the company as a content developer, with some samples of the works done for Canva available online.

Preferred Experience: Teaching experience or over 2 years of freelancing in writing or social media content creation, they should know Google Discover.
Skills: They are technologically alphabetical and possess proficiency in google suite, asana, canva, wordpress, cinems, and SEO.

Additional Qualifications:

Love for information advocacy especially with the new age media platforms.
High reliability in the implantation of designs and contents for disseminating required information.
The candidate should have good time management skills, good organisational skills so that he/she can work on several projects at once.
Capacity to work on their own and in teams with a problem-solving approach to life.
Black culture and popular digital culture.

Job Details:

This is a work from home position with some possible travel needed.
Applicants are expected to be available for 80% of their work in relation to the Eastern Time Zone.
Hourly rate: $16 – $18 per hour.
