Job Summary:
The U.S. Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is seeking a motivated and skilled Digital Media Technician to support a range of multimedia operations at the Twenty Nine Palms installation. This position plays a key role in producing digital content for internal communication, public information, and event promotions through video production, digital signage, live streaming, and photography. The ideal candidate is technically strong, detail-oriented, and highly creative in visual storytelling across digital platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, shoot, and edit high-quality videos for MCCS programs, events, and public service campaigns.
- Design and manage digital signage content and ensure timely, accurate displays across the base.
- Operate and maintain video, lighting, sound, and streaming equipment.
- Manage digital media archives, including file backups and content labeling.
- Support live events through real-time video coverage, sound control, and setup/teardown.
- Ensure content meets DoD standards for branding, accessibility, and public release.
- Collaborate with departments (e.g., marketing, recreation, youth programs) to develop engaging media.
- Monitor trends in digital content and recommend improvements to MCCS media strategies.
- Maintain awareness of cybersecurity protocols and privacy standards during digital content handling.
Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of video production, post-production, and graphic design.
- Proficiency in tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Final Cut Pro, or similar software.
- Experience with digital signage systems, live streaming setups, and social media content delivery.
- Ability to conceptualize and produce short-form and long-form content aligned with organizational goals.
- Knowledge of military culture or experience working with military personnel is a plus.
- Excellent organization and communication skills.
- U.S. Citizens preferred; must be able to pass background check and security clearance if required.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in media production, communications, graphic design, or related field preferred.
- OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience (at least 2 years).
- Portfolio showcasing multimedia work (video, design, or digital campaigns) is strongly encouraged.
