Financial Systems Analyst

This opportunity is with the California Dental Association (CDA) — the largest state dental association in the U.S., representing over 27,000 dental professionals. With a long-standing legacy (established in 1870), CDA leads with innovation, advocacy, and support for the dental community across California and beyond. Their family of companies includes TDIC (a dentist-founded insurance company), Rotunda Partners, and the CDA Foundation.

CDA is a mission-driven, employee-focused organization recognized as a “Best Place to Work.” Their culture is inclusive, collaborative, and values each employee’s unique talents.

About the Role:

We’re looking for a Financial Systems Analyst who thrives at the intersection of finance, technology, and process optimization.

In this role, you’ll first focus on optimizing a recently launched SaaS system (post-implementation phase), fixing bugs, and streamlining workflows. Over time, you’ll be a key contributor to a new ERP implementation, helping shape processes, ensure data accuracy, and support user adoption.

This is a high-impact, growth-focused role where your contributions will improve how a $150M+ organization operates financially.

What You’ll Do:

  • Troubleshoot and resolve post-implementation issues in financial systems.
  • Act as the go-to support for finance team members facing system or data problems.
  • Ensure integrity and accuracy of financial data between systems.
  • Create documentation and SOPs for ongoing support.
  • Participate in ERP system selection, design, and configuration.
  • Assist with data migration and lead testing efforts (UAT, integration testing).
  • Train end-users and support go-live and post-launch optimization.
  • Suggest and implement system enhancements and process improvements.
  • Administer financial tools like Lawson, Prophix, and LBI.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related.
  • 5+ years of experience working with financial systems and implementations.
  • Strong understanding of accounting workflows and data reconciliation.
  • Experience resolving system bugs and working cross-functionally with IT and Finance.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to explain technical issues in business terms.
  • Self-starter who can manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.

Bonus Points For:

  • Knowledge of SQL, Tableau, Power BI, or other data visualization tools.
  • Familiarity with financial reporting platforms (e.g., Cognos, Hyperion).
  • Project management certifications (PMP, Agile, Scrum).
  • Experience with ERP data migration and post-go-live stabilization.

Why Join CDA?

  • Remote-first culture with flexibility and occasional in-person meetings.
  • 22 days of PTO plus 13 paid holidays (including winter closure and floating holiday).
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance with FSA and HSA options.
  • 401(k) with generous match and contributions.
  • Paid parental leave and wellness programs.
  • Life, disability, pet, accident, and critical illness insurance options.
  • In-house wellness incentives and gym discounts.
  • Training, leadership programs, and career growth support.
