Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons aligned with the Cambridge Primary curriculum and the IPC where applicable.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and student-centered classroom environment that supports academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Develop students’ literacy, numeracy, critical thinking, and communication skills through differentiated instruction.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for parents regarding student progress, wellbeing, and classroom matters.
  • Monitor and assess student learning using formative and summative assessments; provide timely and constructive feedback.
  • Maintain accurate student records and prepare academic reports in accordance with school policies.
  • Implement effective classroom management strategies that promote respect, responsibility, and collaboration.
  • Collaborate with subject teachers and leadership to ensure cohesive instructional delivery.
  • Participate actively in school events, professional development, and whole-school initiatives.
  • Demonstrate flexibility to teach across different Primary grade levels as needed.

Job Requirements

Eligible Candidates: Certified Teacher, University Graduate. Minimum Education: Bachelor. Teaching Experience: 2+ years. Licenses and Certifications: Teaching Credential/License.

Additional School Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education (BEd, BEEd, BSEd) or a Bachelor’s degree aligned with the subject specialization (e.g., BS Mathematics, BA English, BS Biology, BS Computer Science). Master’s degree (MA/MEd) preferred but not required.
  • Valid teaching license or professional teaching certification from the applicant’s home country. Relevant professional certifications where applicable (e.g., TESOL, TEFL, IELTS Trainer Certification for English teachers). Early Childhood Education certification (for Grade 1-2 positions).
  • Minimum of three (3) years classroom teaching experience, preferably in private or international school settings. Experience working with diverse learners, including SEN/inclusive classrooms or multi-grade environments (preferred). Experience in teaching Grades 2 and 3 (preferred).
  • Documented participation in professional trainings, seminars, and workshops related to classroom management, child safeguarding, assessment for learning, differentiated instruction, international curricula (Cambridge, IB, IPC/IMYC, etc.), and digital teaching platforms and learning management systems.
  • Proficiency in instructional planning and effective lesson delivery, active and student-centered learning methodologies, student engagement strategies, formative and summative assessment practices, classroom management and positive discipline approaches, and meaningful integration of educational technology.
  • Proficiency in digital productivity tools (Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, LMS platforms, and educational applications), including the ability to design interactive multimedia instructional materials.
  • Submission of at least two (2) professional recommendation letters is required, one of which must be issued by the applicant’s current immediate supervisor from the school where the applicant is presently employed.

Compensation
