Role Overview

The role of the Materials Clerk/Factory Worker is to monitor stock supplies around workstations, replenish materials and tools where necessary, communicate shortages to management and overall support of the production processes of the facility to ensure production flow is not interrupted.

Work Environment: Farmington, CT Onsite M-F 6:00am-2:30pm

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure raw materials and parts are supplied where and when they are needed by prepping jobs for operators in advance of next day’s production schedule.
  • Replenish materials and supplies as needed.
  • Manage inventory by performing daily cycle counts and assisting in full inventory counts. Proactively verify low count inventory as new orders are confirmed.
  • Transport finished goods to warehouse.
  • Transport excess materials and return to stock.
  • Removal of waste.
  • Assist with receiving and sorting of plating materials and placing into the correct warehouse location.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

Critical Competencies for Success

  • 1 year of manufacturing experience on a plant floor.
  • Must have basic reading comprehension and writing skills, be able to work from verbal and written instructions, be capable of working with computer terminals and be able to complete routine paperwork.
  • Must be quality and detail oriented.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle last minute requests.
  • Handle multiple transactions including researching system discrepancies.
  • Ability to regularly bend, reach, crouch, and lift up to 35 pounds.
  • Able to stand and work for 8 hours.
  • Proficiency in inventory software, databases, and system, such as JDE/Oracle preferred.
  • Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods, preferred.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.

Pay & Benefits

Pay range: $20-$24/hr. Within this range, individual pay is determined based on skills, experience, and qualifications relative to the job requirements.
