City of Lima, Ohio – Plans Examiner
The City of Lima, Ohio is currently accepting resumes for the position of PLANS EXAMINER in the Building Division in the Department of Public Works. Under direction, performs building code enforcement functions; establishes and maintains external relationships; prepares and maintains records; maintains personal and professional competence and awareness.
Qualifications
Qualified candidates must possess the following: A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in building design and construction for buildings and structures within the scope of use groups regulated by the Ohio Building Code, and an Ohio registration as an architect or professional engineer.
Required Certification
- Must possess certification as a State of Ohio Level 4 Plans Examiner
Preferred Certifications
Candidates need to be working toward one of the following specializations:
- Building Plans Examiner
- Electrical Plans Examiner
- Energy Plans Examiner
- Fire Protection Plans Examiner
- Mechanical Plans Examiner
Salary & Compensation
Starting Pay: $43.51 per hour; $3,480.93 bi-weekly
