What You’ll Be Doing
- Take charge of day-to-day accounting operations to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting.
- Maintain and continuously improve accounting systems and internal controls to reduce risk.
- Support core financial processes—general ledger, payroll, AP/AR, tax compliance, and cost accounting.
- Contribute to the monthly close process, including reconciliations, journal entries, variance analysis, and reporting.
- Play a key role in payroll and time-tracking activities.
- Assist with internal and external audits, including government audits (DCAA, DCMA).
- Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements across financial processes.
- Partner in budgeting, forecasting, and other strategic financial projects.
What You Bring to the Table
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA strongly preferred).
- 6+ years of experience in cost-plus government contracting, with proven knowledge of DCAA/DCMA regulations and Incurred Cost Submissions.
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience using Unanet software.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
- You’re proactive, detail-oriented, and thrive in fast-paced environments.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills—you’re just as comfortable crunching numbers as you are collaborating across teams.
- A commitment to precision and solving problems with a positive, can-do attitude.
