About the opportunity
We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant / Finance Specialist to manage the day-to-day finance function of a fast-paced marketing agency. This role combines accurate accounting and UAE compliance with commercial support across client projects, campaign budgets, production costs, collections, and vendor payments.
What you will own
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping, general ledger entries, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Prepare timely monthly management reports, including profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow, and supporting schedules.
- Manage client invoicing, monitor receivables, and follow up professionally on outstanding payments.
- Process and schedule payments to suppliers, production partners, and other vendors.
- Track campaign and project budgets, committed costs, billable expenses, margins, and profitability.
- Reconcile bank accounts, customer and vendor balances, and key control accounts.
- Prepare UAE VAT and Corporate Tax workings and support accurate, on-time filings in line with FTA requirements.
- Coordinate with account management, production, and leadership teams to improve financial visibility and cost control.
What we are looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Two to three years of relevant accounting experience; UAE agency, creative, media, production, or professional-services experience is preferred.
- Working knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax requirements.
- Hands-on experience with Zoho Books; strong Excel skills are an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail, ownership, organization, and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills in English, with confidence following up with clients and vendors.
