About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Django Developer to join our client’s development team. This is a full-time, long-term remote opportunity where you’ll work on meaningful projects with high-growth companies.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain complex web applications using Django and Python
- Build RESTful APIs and backend services focused on performance and scalability
- Integrate multiple data sources and databases into unified backend systems
- Write clean, reusable, and testable code following best practices
- Implement secure data handling and authentication mechanisms
- Optimize applications for speed, availability, and performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including frontend, product, and design
- Participate in architecture decisions, code reviews, and debugging
- Stay current with emerging technologies and frameworks
Required Skills and Experience
- 5+ years of professional web development experience
- At least 4 years of hands-on experience with Django
- Strong knowledge of Django ORM, Django REST Framework, and core Python concepts
- Experience with asynchronous/event-driven programming in Python
- Familiarity with multi-process architecture and threading limitations in Python
- Proficiency in server-side templating engines like Jinja2 or Mako
- Understanding of API security, user authentication, and authorization systems
- Strong debugging and unit testing skills
- Proficient with Git and version control workflows
- Excellent communication and time management skills
