About the Role
We are looking for a Senior WordPress Solutions Developer to build, customize, and optimize high-performance WordPress websites for a global digital platform. You will work on custom themes, advanced integrations, content architecture, performance optimization, and complex WordPress functionality.
This role is ideal for an experienced WordPress professional who can take ownership of challenging projects and build reliable solutions beyond standard theme customization.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain complex WordPress websites and custom solutions.
- Build custom WordPress themes and reusable components.
- Develop custom plugins and extend existing WordPress functionality.
- Work with WordPress REST API and third-party service integrations.
- Customize WooCommerce functionality and complex e-commerce workflows.
- Build advanced Gutenberg blocks and dynamic content components.
- Optimize WordPress databases, queries, caching, and server-side performance.
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues across production websites.
- Implement secure coding practices and WordPress security controls.
- Manage website migrations, staging environments, and production deployments.
- Collaborate with designers, content teams, and other developers.
- Review code and establish development standards.
Advanced Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional WordPress development experience.
- Advanced PHP and WordPress development skills.
- Strong knowledge of WordPress hooks, filters, actions, and APIs.
- Experience developing custom plugins and themes from scratch.
- Advanced HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive development skills.
- Strong experience with MySQL and WordPress database optimization.
- Experience with REST APIs and third-party integrations.
- Advanced WooCommerce development experience.
- Strong understanding of WordPress security and performance optimization.
- Experience with Git-based development workflows.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex production environments independently.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Elementor, Gutenberg, or other modern WordPress builders.
- Knowledge of WP-CLI.
- Experience with Docker and local WordPress development.
- Familiarity with AWS or other cloud hosting platforms.
- Experience implementing CI/CD workflows.
- Knowledge of Redis, object caching, and CDN optimization.
- Experience working with multilingual WordPress websites.
