Technical Accounting Manager

About the Role

Apple is seeking a Technical Accounting Manager to join its global finance team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional with strong analytical skills and a passion for solving complex financial challenges. As part of the Technical Accounting team, you’ll collaborate closely with business leaders, providing expert accounting guidance to support decision-making, compliance, and efficiency. You’ll influence the company’s financial processes while helping shape the future of Apple’s financial success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct technical accounting research and document conclusions on complex transactions.
  • Develop, implement, and educate teams on Apple-wide accounting policies.
  • Act as the accounting subject matter expert during cross-functional projects.
  • Participate in accounting reviews and analyses related to financial close processes.
  • Provide clear, accurate, and concise documentation for stakeholders at all levels.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA (or equivalent).
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including team leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 9–10+ years of experience in public accounting and/or large public companies, ideally in the tech industry.
  • Strong background in U.S. GAAP technical research and application across areas like inventory, fixed assets, consolidation, and contingencies. (IFRS experience a plus.)
  • Excellent ability to translate complex accounting issues into clear, actionable insights for executives.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills to partner with cross-functional teams and senior leaders.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base pay range: $175,300 – $263,100, depending on experience, skills, and location.
  • Eligibility for discretionary bonuses, commission payments, and relocation assistance.
