Key Responsibilities
As a WordPress Developer, you will:
- Collaborate with clients to understand their vision, design, and functionality needs
- Build clean, responsive, and high-performance websites from front to back
- Architect both frontend and backend solutions, including database and server integration
- Create custom WordPress themes and plugins
- Run speed, performance, and troubleshooting tests to ensure a smooth user experience
- Monitor live websites and resolve technical issues quickly
- Ensure SEO-friendly, scalable, and secure code
Requirements
We’re looking for professionals who have:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or a related field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience as a WordPress developer (exceptional fresh talent may also be considered)
- Strong command of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery
- Experience with frameworks like Bootstrap or Foundation
- Working knowledge of at least one backend language (PHP, ASP.NET, Ruby, etc.)
- Familiarity with Git, Mercurial, or SVN
- A solid understanding of website architecture, UI/UX aesthetics, and SEO
- Reliable English communication skills (verbal + written)
- Ability to work full-time (40 hrs/week) with at least 4 hrs overlap with US time zones
Preferred Skills
- Experience with object-oriented programming
- Understanding of web app security & session management
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging (Chrome Inspector, Firebug, etc.)
- Previous experience in Agile/Scrum environments
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Adaptability to a fast-paced, global work culture
